Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and PeleFoot about your use of the PeleFoot app at app.pelefoot.com and the website at pelefoot.com. Please read them. By creating an account or using PeleFoot, you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy, and to our Community Guidelines.
1. Who we are
PeleFoot is operated by PELEFOOT Limited, No 1a, David Pelemo Street, Ereko Quarters, Ibafo, Ogun State, Nigeria (“PeleFoot”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@pelefoot.com.
2. What PeleFoot is, and isn't
PeleFoot is a platform where football players share video clips and a profile, scouts discover and shortlist players, and fans watch and engage with talent. We provide the tools to connect people.
- We are not an agency, a club, or an employer, and we do not represent any player or scout.
- We do not promise that a player will be scouted, signed, or paid, or that a scout will find a suitable player. What happens after two people connect is between them.
- Ratings, rankings, and verification badges are signals to help people decide. They are not a guarantee of ability, character, or credentials.
3. Who can use PeleFoot
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Players aged 13 to 17 may join, but their profile and videos stay hidden from scouts until a parent or guardian has confirmed consent. The parent or guardian is responsible for that confirmation being genuine.
- Scouts must be at least 18 years old and be acting in a genuine professional capacity.
- You may only create an account for yourself, and only one account for each role.
4. Your account
- The information you give us, including your age, identity, and credentials, must be true and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account.
- Tell us straight away at hello@pelefoot.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
5. Verification
Players and scouts may be asked to submit identification or professional credentials. Our team reviews them and may approve or reject a submission. A “Verified” badge means we reviewed what you submitted at that time. It does not mean we have independently investigated you, and we can remove it if we learn it was wrong.
6. Your content
- You own it. You keep ownership of the videos, photos, and text you upload.
- You give us a licence to run the service. You grant PeleFoot a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, display, and share your content with other PeleFoot users as the app is designed to do, for as long as your content is on PeleFoot. Deleting your content or account ends the licence, apart from copies retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You promise you have the right. You must own or have permission to use everything you upload, including footage of other people, music, and broadcast material. Content you upload must follow our Community Guidelines.
7. Contact between users
Scouts on a paid plan can send a player a contact request. A player's contact details are shared only if the player approves the request. You must use contact details only for the football-related purpose the request was made for, and never to harass, pressure, or exploit anyone. PeleFoot will never ask a player to pay to be scouted, and no scout on PeleFoot is allowed to either.
8. Plans and payments
- Free and paid plans. PeleFoot has free plans and paid monthly subscriptions. The current plans, features, and prices are shown on our pricing section and in the app. Prices are in US dollars.
- Free trial. Where a free trial is offered, such as the 7-day trial on Player Premium, you enter a payment method when you start it and are charged the first monthly fee when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew every month until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Manage Billing in the app. After you cancel, you keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then your account returns to the free plan.
- Payment processing. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store your card number.
- Free trial refunds. If you cancel before a free trial ends, you won't be charged.
- Monthly fees. Subscription fees are charged in advance for each month. Once a payment has been taken, it is generally non-refundable. You can cancel at any time and keep your paid features until the end of the month you have already paid for. We don't give part-month refunds when you cancel or downgrade.
- When we will refund you. We will refund you in full if (a) you were charged by mistake or more than once for the same period, (b) you were charged after you cancelled in time, or (c) a technical fault on our side meant you couldn't use the paid features you paid for and we couldn't fix it within a reasonable time.
- First charge after a trial. If you forgot to cancel and were charged when your trial ended, email us within 7 days of that charge and we will refund it, as long as you haven't used the paid features in that time.
- Accounts we suspend or remove. If we suspend or end your account for breaking these terms or our Community Guidelines, you aren't entitled to a refund for the rest of that period.
- Your legal rights. Nothing in this section affects any refund or cancellation right you have under the law where you live that cannot be waived.
- How to ask for a refund. Email hello@pelefoot.com from your account email with the date and amount of the charge. We aim to reply within 5 working days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe and can take 5–10 working days to appear.
- Price changes. We may change prices. We will give you notice before a change affects your next renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
9. What you must not do
You must follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not:
- give false information, impersonate someone, or misrepresent your age, identity, or credentials;
- upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or that you have no right to share;
- harass, threaten, or exploit other users, or target or groom young players;
- scrape, copy, or bulk-collect other users' information, or use it for anything other than genuine football-related contact;
- interfere with or try to break the security of the service, or access accounts or data that are not yours;
- use PeleFoot to promote a scam, charge players fees, or send spam.
10. Reporting and moderation
Anyone can report a video from the app. Our admins review reports and may remove content, hide a profile, or suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or our Guidelines, or that puts other users at risk. We may do this with or without notice where we think it is needed to protect people or the service. If you think we got it wrong, email hello@pelefoot.com and we will look again.
11. Pausing, deleting, and ending your account
- You can pause your account, or delete it permanently, from Settings at any time.
- If you delete your account, your profile, videos, highlights, and uploaded files are permanently deleted. Cancel any paid plan first so you are not billed again.
- We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as sections 6, 12, and 13, continue after your account ends.
12. Disclaimers
PeleFoot is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or secure, or that the information other users post is accurate. You use the service and deal with other users at your own risk and should use your own judgement, especially before sharing personal information or agreeing to anything off-platform.
13. Limit on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, PeleFoot is not responsible for losses that come from your dealings with other users, from content other users post, or from events outside our reasonable control, and our total responsibility to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited, or our responsibility for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as PeleFoot grows. For a significant change we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using PeleFoot after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over disputes. If you live in the United Kingdom, you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of UK law and may bring a claim in the courts where you live.
